GERHARD SCHEMPP
SOFTWARE & EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
After studying mathematics and computer science at the Technical University of Munich, Gerhard Schempp worked for Softlab GmbH until 1988, most recently as Division Manager "Industrial Systems". He then moved to Digital Equipment and CSC. There, he became Managing Director of CSC Germany GmbH and Chief Representative of CSC Ploenzke in 1996. From 1998 until 2013 he was Chairman of the Board at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, which he developed into a leading software and systems house for electronics and logistics in the areas of defense, aerospace and automotive. Mr Schempp was a Member of the Board at the Federation of German Security & Defence Industries (BDSV) and in this context spokesman for SMEs, electronics, and information and communication technology. He headed the lead market Defence within the Board of the Security Committee of the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI).
