He is a renowned entrepreneur from the Vorarlberg region in Austria, and founder of NewLogic AG, which he sold to the Indian IT group Wipro in 2005. In addition to his entrepreneurial activities Hans-Peter Metzler looks back on a successful international management career. After graduating in mathematics and theoretical physics he began his career in 1984 with the entry into the Siemens AG, Corporate Research. This was followed in 1992 by the position of Managing Director and Head of Research & Development of Siemens Components, Asia Pacific and in 1996 as General Manager for the microcontroller business of the Siemens AG. In addition to various supervisory and advisory boards of listed and private companies, Hans-Peter Metzler is Chairman and President of the Bregenz Festival.
