KONSUL DR. J. GEORG CLAESSENS
TRANSPORTATION & LOGISTICS
Dr. Claessens is the former CEO of the Thiel Group as well as the Logwin Holding Deutschland GmbH (subsidiary of Delton AG, Bad Homburg, Stefan Quandt). Prior to that, Dr. Claessens was Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Kleiderspedition GmbH & Co. KG and CEO of Birkart Globistics AG. In the course of this, Dr. Claessens played an important role in the further development and the interconnection within the logistics sector throughout the world. For his achievements as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Birkart Globistics AG, he has been awarded the Grand Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria in 2007. Furthermore, Dr. Claessens supports the logistics and transportation sector in a wide range of areas. Dr. Claessens is a member of the foreign trade committee of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria and was commercial judge at the District Court Munich II. Since 2007, Dr. Claessens is also honorary consul to the Republic of Latvia for Bavaria.
